Melissa has been improvising, acting, and devising theatre for the past 15 years. She spent ten years training and performing comedy in Toronto at The Second City, Impatient Theatre and Bad Dog Theatre Sports. Melissa has her MFA in Contemporary Performance from the Buddhist-inspired Naropa University. She has created over 25 original works, including her solo show which won awards at the NYC Frigid Festival. In Chicago, she owns a Pilates studio that often doubles as an experimental performance and art space and devotes much of her time as a movement director. She is one half of the improv duo, CHAIRS with Gavin Donnellan and co-wrote and created a webseries, The Studio, with partner in all things, Chris Bashen, which premiered at the NYC Chain Film Festival in 2016. Melissa is ecstatic to be joining the amazing Funny Bones Improv team!
